Playbook Points Terms

Points are a way to pay for Noon's paid tools. Here are all the rules, including the ones that could cost you Points.

What Points are

Playbook Points are a prepaid balance you can use to pay for paid tools and unlocks inside The Renter's Playbook. As a working guide, 10 Points is about $1.00 of Noon value.

Points are not money, and not a gift card. They have no cash value outside the product, they can't be cashed out, transferred, sold, or moved to another account, and they aren't a deposit or a stored-value account. They only buy things from us.

Where Points come from — and which ones expire

SourceHow you get themExpiration
Complimentary Playbook Points10 complimentary Playbook Points when a new account is verified.Never expires
Purchased Points100 Points for $9.99 · 250 Points for $22.99Never expires
Earned Points — contributionsAwarded when a document you contributed is reviewed and accepted.Never expires
Earned Points — referrals30 Points when someone you referred creates a new account and verifies their email address. No purchase required.Never expires
Season Points75 Points included with each Season.Expire at the end of that Season
Life Points300 Points included each Life membership year.Expire at the end of that membership year

In short: Points you bought, earned by contributing or referring a renter, or received as complimentary Playbook Points with a new account don't expire. Points that came included with a Season or a Life year are good for that period.

The order Points are spent in

When you spend Points, we always use the ones with the nearest expiration first, so nothing you bought or earned expires while a time-limited Point sits unused. The order is:

  • Season Points
  • Life membership Points
  • Complimentary Playbook Points
  • Earned Points — contributions
  • Earned Points — referrals
  • Purchased Points

You can also split a purchase: apply the Points you have and pay the remaining cash balance by card. The price and the split are shown before you pay.

Holds on Points

When a purchase uses Points plus cash, the Points are held — not spent — until the payment is confirmed. If the payment doesn't complete — including if you close the payment form without paying — the held Points are released back to your balance.

Auto Re-Up (optional)

Auto Re-Up is optional and off by default — it only starts if you turn it on, choose a pack (100 Points for $9.99 or 250 Points for $22.99), and save a card with Stripe. After a completed use of Points leaves your available balance below 50 Points, we charge that card for the pack you chose, plus any applicable tax, calculated the same way as when you buy that pack yourself. It happens at most twice in any rolling 24 hours, and Points are added only after the payment is confirmed. We keep a record of what you agreed to: the pack, price, trigger, wording version, and date. Auto Re-Up Points are purchased Points and never expire.

If a charge fails or your bank asks you to approve it, nothing is charged, Auto Re-Up pauses, and we don't retry. You can change the pack or turn Auto Re-Up off at any time on Membership & Points in My Rental. Removing the saved card — there or in the billing portal — turns it off, and so does deleting your account, which also removes the saved card. Automatic top-ups follow the same refund-request process as any other purchase.

Refunds, and no cash-out

Points can't be converted to cash. If a purchase you paid for partly with Points is refunded, the cash portion is refunded — see the Refund & Cancellation Policy. If something goes wrong on our side and Points were spent on it, tell us and we'll make it right.

If you delete your account

Deleting your account forfeits any remaining Points, including purchased ones. They can't be restored, moved, or paid out. If you have a Points balance you care about, spend it before you delete — or email noon@noonknows.com first and we'll talk it through.

Referral Points

You get a personal referral link inside your account. When someone opens the Playbook through your link, creates a new account, and verifies their email address, you earn 30 Points. They don't have to buy anything or use a paid tool, and there's no limit on how many renters you can refer.

  • The Points are awarded automatically after the new account is verified — not when the link is clicked, and not before verification.
  • Each new account can credit one referrer, once.
  • You can't refer yourself, and an email address can only ever be counted as a referred account one time.
  • Referral Points never expire.
  • We may reverse referral Points that came from fake, duplicate, or recreated accounts, or from any other attempt to game the reward.

Changes and fairness

Points aren't a promotional currency we plan to devalue. If we change how Points are priced or what they buy, the change applies going forward — not to Points you already hold. We may reverse Points obtained through fraud, abuse, or an error.
