Refunds & Cancellation
If The Playbook didn't earn your money, ask for it back. Here's exactly how that works.

What you can buy
- Moment — a one-time unlock for one tool. It doesn't renew and it doesn't expire on a clock; you use it when you need it.
- Season — a 90-day membership. Your first Season is $24.99, then it renews automatically every 3 months at $19.99 until you cancel. A Season added under an active Life membership is $19.99.
- Life — $39.99 per year, renewing automatically every year until you cancel.
- Playbook Points packs — 100 Points for $9.99, 250 Points for $22.99. One-time purchases; see the Playbook Points Terms.
Renewal terms are shown on the purchase screen before you pay, and again in Membership & Points afterward.
Cancelling a Season or Life
Cancel any time — no notice period, no phone call. Cancelling stops the next renewal and your access runs through the date you already paid for.
You cancel yourself, in one confirmed action, from My Rental — Membership & Points. No phone call, no email required, no notice period.
Cancelling or letting a Season lapse never deletes your My Rental, documents, history, or account. It only changes what tools you have access to.
Cancelling and refunding are two different things. Cancelling stops the next charge. A refund returns money already charged — you can ask for both.
Asking for a refund
If The Renter's Playbook didn't earn your money, ask for it back. There's no refund window and no different rules for a Moment, a Season, or Life. We ask what happened so we can fix it — not to talk you out of it.
Go to Membership & Billing, find the purchase, and choose "Ask for a refund." We ask you to tell us what happened — that reason is required, because it's how we learn what to fix. It isn't a test you can fail.
- There's no refund window. A purchase from a while ago can still be refunded.
- The same posture applies to a Moment, a Season, a Life membership, and a Points pack.
- Forgot to cancel before a renewal? Ask for a refund anyway. Cancelling and refunding are two separate things, and we don't hold a missed date against you.
- Our posture is to approve any reasonable request. Requests that look unusual or fraudulent get reviewed by a person before a decision.
- We don't automatically pro-rate a partial period. If a partial amount is the fair answer for your situation, tell us and we'll look at it.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe. Your bank decides how quickly it lands.
- If a refund covers a membership, the next renewal stops and the access that purchase provided ends.
Points and refunds
If you paid partly with Playbook Points, a refund returns the cash portion. Points aren't money and aren't refunded as cash — see the Playbook Points Terms. Points held for a purchase that never completes are released back to you.
Auto Re-Up top-ups
Auto Re-Up is optional and off unless you turn it on. Each automatic top-up is a normal Points pack purchase (100 Points for $9.99 or 250 Points for $22.99, plus any applicable tax), charged only after a completed use of Points leaves your balance below 50, and no more than twice in any rolling 24 hours. You get an emailed confirmation each time. If a top-up wasn't right, ask for a refund from Billing & refunds in Membership & Points in My Rental — the same process as any other purchase. A failed or approval-required charge isn't charged at all; Auto Re-Up simply pauses. You can change the pack or turn it off in Membership & Points any time, and removing the saved card or deleting your account turns it off.
Disputes
If your bank opens a dispute, we keep every record and a person handles it. No account penalties, no lockouts.
It's almost always faster to just email noon@noonknows.com. We'd rather fix it directly than through your bank.
