Ask Noon
The Playbook / Live It / Finally — The Reality Show

The escalation ladder.

Most rental issues resolve on the first or second rung. The ladder isn't about escalating fast — it's about knowing which step comes next when the last one didn't work.

What's normal
A single polite ask through the right channel usually gets it done. Give it a real chance.
Your plays
Move one rung at a time. Document each step. Ask for what you actually want.
What's raising eyebrows
Threatening legal action on step one usually shuts down the very help that would have fixed it.
1
Documented
You've noticed and logged it, but haven't asked yet. Photos, dates, and specifics.
2
Customer service
A polite ask through the normal channel — portal, email, or a call to the office.
3
Supervisor
The property manager or a supervisor when the front line hasn't resolved it in a reasonable window.
4
Regional / corporate
Regional manager or a corporate contact for a persistent, unresolved issue.
5
Written notice
A formal written notice that documents the issue, what you've asked for, and the timeline.
6
Outside help
Mediation, code enforcement, tenant agency, or an attorney — when the situation genuinely calls for it.
