Move-In Survival Tips.
Everything the checklists don't cover — the pack-it-separately essentials, the small moves that make the day feel human, and the reminder to actually breathe.
Move-in day survival kit
Pack these separately and keep them accessible. You'll thank yourself around hour four.
- Toilet paper.
- Hand soap.
- Paper towels.
- Disposable plates, cups, and utensils.
- Snacks and water.
- Phone charger (yes, plural — every device you'll use).
- Basic cleaning supplies.
- First aid kit.
Small moves that pay off
- Place one service request — even for something minor. It teaches you the community's ticket system before you actually need it.
- Grab a slice, sit on the floor, look around. That's the moment. Enjoy it.
- Introduce yourself to a neighbor if you cross paths — a five-second hello makes the hallway feel less anonymous forever.
- Locate the fire exits, water shutoff, and breaker panel before you unpack a single box.
Noon Knows tip
And don't forget to breathe. You're home.
